Judy Dworin Performance Project seeks a Managing Director to oversee the programmatic operations and future development of this very active mid-sized arts non-profit.
The Managing Director’s role includes but is not limited to oversight of the logistics that support implementation of programmatic activities; public relations and marketing including writing press releases, e-newsletter content, website updates; event, program and residency coordination; general personnel oversight; first point of contact and knowledgeable public face for the organization; grants research, coordination and writing; fundraising including individual, corporate and foundation development; Board relations; strategic planning; and community relations. The Managing Director works closely with and under the direction of the Executive/Artistic Director, partners with the Administrative Director and Associate Artistic Director, and supervises the Programming Associate, interns and volunteers.An ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the arts non-profit field, and possess the passion, dedication and organizational skills to fulfill JDPP’s mission and programming. Superior social, communication, written and verbal skills are key, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, to multi-task, and self-initiate. Proficiency in using Mac OSX, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation and searching, computer troubleshooting and basic office hardware maintenance are essential.
This position is full-time at 40 hours per week with a salary commensurate with experience. There are no benefits. Applications are being accepted immediately, until the position is filled.
